THE PROBLEM

The problem that this project presented was to create a dashboard for an autonomous vehicle. By researching into existing technology i discovered that there is a gap in the market for this kind of technology and that creating a safe a reliable service would benefit a wide demographic of people,

THE PROCESS  

After researching self driving car technology I was Inspired to create Solo. I started with sketching out my ideas. The brief was to create a dashboard for inside the car. I also created the phone UI to go along with it. Throughout this process my main concern was making my app and dashboard as accessible as possible. A simple layout and accessible colours were important considerations.

OUTCOMES

The final deliverables for this project consisted of a phone app prototype, a car dashboard prototype, brand guidelines and supporting research.

EVALUATION 

Throughout this project I learned a lot about how trends start and how they change how we navigate through the world. Self driving technology is one of the newer trends that is starting to become more mainstream. New trends can leave people feeling left behind and confused. Solo aims to help make self driving technology less daunting and more accessible to everyone, everywhere. During this project I learned that simple is often best. Creating simple but effective designs increases accessibility. If something is too complicated to use it can put users off using your project.
